Sports

and Athletics

At GLBA, students have access to a variety of exciting athletic opportunities, including basketball, volleyball, physical education, and flag football. Our sports programs challenge students to grow physically, develop their athletic abilities, and learn the value of teamwork and perseverance.

Whether on the court or the field, GLBA athletes build character, confidence, and school spirit.

Orchestra Program

GLBA’s orchestra program may be young, but it’s growing rapidly and is full of energy! Students from 1st through 12th grade are welcome to join and explore the world of music through a variety of instruments.

Participants can choose from violin, cello, viola, flute, trumpet, percussion, and more! Whether your child is just beginning, or continuing their musical journey, our orchestra program offers a supportive space to develop skills, perform, and grow a lifelong appreciation for music.

National

Honor Society

Gospel Light Baptist Academy is proud to serve as a local chapter of both the National Honor Society (NHS) and the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). Students in 7th–12th grade who meet the academic and character requirements are invited to apply for membership.

NHS and NJHS members exemplify the core values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These students volunteer in community service projects, inspire school spirit, and model authentic Christian values—all while maintaining a high standard of academic excellence.

Participation in these prestigious societies helps students grow as leaders and prepares them for future academic and personal success.

Middle School Choir

At GLBA, students in 6th–8th grade will participate in our vibrant choir program, where they develop their musical skills and enjoy the joy of singing as a group.

Students will learn music theory, fun vocal exercises, music reading abilities, and participate in annual vocal performances.

Elementary Reading Program

We’re thrilled to offer our elementary students a fun and rewarding reading program! As students read books throughout the school year, they earn points and win exciting prizes. But that’s not all—our students also enjoy special reading sessions with high school mentors and local police officers, making reading even more engaging and meaningful. It's a great way to build literacy, confidence, and community connections!

High School Fine Arts Programs

GLBA offers a variety of fine arts clubs and opportunities for our students. Our rotating clubs allow us to focus on key elements of stage performance while allowing individual student selection geared towards their interest groups.

We seek fine arts excellence through music, drama, academic teams, and through competitions and performances.

Choir and Choral Club

High school students have the opportunity to participate in a choral program that fosters the development of musical skills and cultivates a deep appreciation for the collaborative art of choral performance.

Students may also participate in Choral Club—a unique and exciting opportunity to further enhance vocal technique, musical knowledge, and performance confidence.

Whether student are new to singing or have years of experience, our choir and Choral Club offer a supportive and inspiring environment for every voice to shine!

Drama Club

High school students have the exciting opportunity to join our Drama Club! Participants will learn the fundamentals of acting and stage performance while building confidence and creativity. Each year, students will take part in two drama productions, showcasing their talent and hard work for the school and community.
